WORKSHOP
GEN AI WORKFLOWS FOR VISUAL STORYTELLERS
Presented by the University of British Columbia
with Patrick Parra Pennefather · moderated by Marina Antunes

An action-packed and fast-paced adventure, this all-inclusive 1.5-hour interactive session is designed to immerse participants in applying generative AI technologies to tell stories… differently.

Artists, filmmakers, graphic designers, and anyone passionate about exploring innovative ways to convey stories visually will get something out of the session. Practical demonstrations, (badmination), secretive use cases, hallucinatory TikToks, text-image-video iterative cycles, ideation, discord and the future, rapidly developed throw-aways, private vs public, perspective, pivot-ability, leveraging bias, homogeneity as inspiration, and the overwhelming number of new tools, paywalls, seeds, relentless experimentation, criticality, copywrong and discernment will all be described in this very human session.

Interactive Q&A rounds off the session, providing participants a chance to share their thoughts, concerns, and questions regarding the integration of AI into their creative practices.
