Amy Tang, a Supervising Producer at Mainframe Studios, Co-Chair of Mainframe Studios Culture Club, proud volunteer on the leadership team for Spark CG Society. Even though the recent years have been more quiet than the past, as part of the Board of Directors for the Vancouver Animation Network, more than ever, it is important for Amy to evoke strong community connections to help the Vancouver CG industry grow and thrive.

Amy’s ability to maintain a grass-roots and organic yet structured approach, along with a loud voice and active energy, compliments the teams she oversees and events she helps organize and run.

David Allen is an effects animation supervisor at Sony Pictures Imageworks, most recently completing work on The Angry Birds Movie 2. He is responsible for overseeing a team of effects artists, providing artistic and technical direction, and bidding and casting effects work.

David is currently supervising effects work on the animated feature Vivo for Sony Pictures Animation. His Imageworks credits also include: Stuart Little, Castaway, Storks, The Meg, and Love, Death + Robots.

Prior to Imageworks, David served in various effects positions at PDI and DreamWorks Animation. His credits include: Shrek, Minority Report, A.I., Kung Fu Panda, Puss in Boots, and Turbo.

David is originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

John Vassallo is a lead animator at Sony Pictures Imageworks, most recently completing work on the animated adventure The Angry Birds Movie 2. He is currently supervising a team of animators on Vivo for Sony Pictures Animation.

John joined Imageworks in 2012, and his credits include: Hotel Transylvania, Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs 2, Storks, The Smurfs, Hotel Transylvania 2, and Smallfoot.

Previously, John worked as an animator at Walt Disney Animation on the Academy Award®-winning Big Hero 6. He also held various animation roles at MPC, Rainmaker, Weta Digital, Animal Logic, Rhythm and Hues, Luma Pictures, and Stargate Films.

In his spare time, John teaches facial performance at Animschool.com.

Originally from Detroit, Michigan, John received his Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Art from the College of Creative Studies in his hometown.

Rohini Kumar is an animation lead at Sony Pictures Imageworks most recently supervising work on The Angry Birds Movie 2. She is currently supervising a team of animators on Mitchells vs. The Machines for Sony Pictures Animation.

Rohini joined Imageworks in 2015 as an animator and her credits include The Angry Birds Movie, Smurfs: The Lost Village, The Emoji Movie, Smallfoot, and Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation.

Prior to joining Imageworks, Rohini worked as an animator at Nitrogen Studios on the animated feature Sausage Party. She also served in various capacities at Zoic Studios, Guru Studio, Intelligent Creatures, and Core Digital Pictures.

Rohini is originally from New Delhi, India. She received a post graduate certificate in digital character animation from Sheridan College and a bachelor of fine art degree from Delhi College of Art.

Shreyasi Das is a lighting lead at Sony Pictures Imageworks, most recently completing work on the animated adventure The Angry Birds Movie 2. She was responsible for providing creative and technical leadership and support to the lighting team, establish the lighting and look of sequences based on concept art, and submit cute animal gifs on the team chatrooms.

Originally from Kolkata, India, Shreyasi begin her career at Imageworks in 2015 as an associate lighting TD. Her film credits include: Spider-Man: Homecoming, Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation, Storks, Smurfs, and Alice Through the Looking Glass. She is currently working as lighting lead on the animated feature Over the Moon for Netflix.

Previously, Shreyasi held various roles at Pixar Animation Studios, Blue Sky Studios, DreamWorks Animation, Doodle Pictures and HumbleTV.

She is a graduate of Rochester Institute of Technology and is a member of Women in Animation.

Stirling Duguid is a digital effects supervisor at Sony Pictures Imageworks. Most recently, he served as visual effects supervisor on the animated adventure The Angry Birds Movie 2.

Duguid previously served as CG supervisor on numerous features including: Sony Pictures Animation’s Smurfs: The Lost Village, Columbia Pictures/Rovio Animation’s The Angry Birds Movie, Disney’s Oz the Great & Powerful, Sony Pictures Animation’s Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs and Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs 2, Arthur Christmas, the Academy Award®-nominated Surf’s Up and Disney’s Academy Award®-nominated The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion the Witch & the Wardrobe.

Having spent more than a decade at Imageworks, Duguid also served as a lighting and compositing lead and an FX technical director on features including: The Polar Express and The Matrix Reloaded for Warner Bros., Stuart Little 2 and America’s Sweethearts for Columbia Pictures, Disney’s The Haunted Mansion and Cast Away for 20th Century Fox.

With over 20 years of experience in live-action and CG feature film production, Duguid has extensive experience in supervising FX animation, modeling and look development, cloth and hair simulation, lighting and compositing and stereoscopic production departments.

Duguid began his career at VisionArt Design and Animation working as an FX technical director. He is a graduate of the University of the Nations in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii.
